Treasurer s Report- for February we took in $622, spent $440. For March we ve spent $435, taken in $664 for the infrastructure fund and $640 into the general fund. So far $1,688 in the infrastructure fund, expecting another $200-220. There were two new members in February and three new members in March. 3. Staff Report- none present, skipped until later in the meeting. 4. Next Grex- At the most recent Next Grex meeting user Dang volunteered to help put together the next Grex is the window of opportunity for Steve to do so closes. 5. Fundraiser Update: $664 in, $862 in pledges so far. Currently waiting for Steve for hardware purchases. Steve stated that the prices are stable and is working at the moment at trying to find the highest quality items and where best to purchase them from. 6. Centrex- at this point the Board decided to leave it alone for now, the contract expires in October, and in the meantime keep an eye out for better deals. 7. New Business: Auction, Aruba states that he thought the auction had enough items donated and the auction will officially open May 1. New donations are still being accepted. MERIT is getting rid of PortMasters- sending them over to Property Disposition, no idea if they have documentation with them or not. 8. Next Board Meeting scheduled for May 6th, Zingerman s Next Door in the Kid s Room. 3. Staff Report: Hardware has been pretty good. There was a crash that Steve thinks was due to a vandal- a more intelligent vandal that usual. Also noted that we haven t had any root exploits since Grex lived in the Dungeon. Batteries for the UPS- Steve was authorized to purchase batteries a few meetings back- but the location he was going to get them from ran out of the proper kind. He will be attending the Dayton Ham Convention in about five weeks and will look for the type of batteries Grex s UPS needs. 4. Steve has been in a holding pattern while looking at three different motherboards. Also working to ensure that all the hardware purchased is compatible with OpenBSD (so that no one has to write drivers). Steve wants to get Ultra320 drives as they are blindingly fast. As for actual purchases, Steve and Aruba were to meet later in the week to go to CompUSA and see what they could find there from the hardware list. Steve was very pleased with the selection CompUSA offered. 3. Staff Report- spam is still a problem. 9.
